Here's a little trick.
The way to think about event promotion, is "what's the information we'd print on a poster". An old fashioned poster for a gig.
It's 1) photo for context.
Then it's 2) the where and the when and the who's playing.
Since we've now got the internet, there's no reason to actually physically go and print all these posters.
Besides, people hang out more on the internet than out in the real world, so it's easier to reach them if somehow the poster simply lives online.
